Danish company Libratone has just released its latest wireless portable speaker called Zipp, so let’s see what does this speaker have to offer. This speaker supports AirPlay and it also features Libratone’s new PlayDirect technology that lets you stream music wirelessly from iPhone, iPod or iTunes without using WiFi network.
Of course, if you’re at home, you can also use your WiFi home network for streaming as well. Zipp comes with two 1-inch ribbon-based tweeters, one 4-inch bass drive, and a full digital amplifier that can deliver 60W sound.
In addition, Zipp uses FullRoom technology that can deliver 360-degree sound experience. This portable speaker also has an USB port for direct playback from iPhone, iPod, and iPad, but there’s also a 3.5mm audio jack if you want to use Zipp with any other media player. As for battery, Libratone Zipp can provide you with eight hours of wired playback or with four hours of wireless playback.
Zipp portable speaker is available in several colors, and as for the price, it’s priced at hefty $449.
