You probably know that Apple has announced iPhone 5, and the new iPhone runs on iOS 6, and speaking of which, let’s see what new features does iOS 6 have to offer.
The new Maps application comes with zooming capabilities and a search engine that will allow you to check out more than 100 million points of interest. In addition, Maps app uses 3D buildings and smooth transitions during navigation so it won’t interrupt voice directions. Safari comes with full-screen mode and you’ll be also able to share your tabs from desktop browser to your smartphone thanks to the iOS 6 and iCloud Tabs. Email has a VIP list, so each time when you receive an email from a person on your VIP list that email will go to the separate email box. Passbook feature is present as well, and so far, Delta and Starwood Hotels are supporting it, and we should see more business supporting Passbook in the future. Photo Stream is updated and it will allow you to share your photos simpler and faster than before. Siri has been improved as well, and you can now post Facebook statuses simply by speaking them.
iOS 6 has a lot to offer, and as for release we should see it on September 19th, however we don’t have information regarding compatible devices.
